AN EYE, FORGED ALONG THE WAY.
Mootaz Haddad — founder of FAMOUS
Italy, Tunisia, Lyon, Paris, London, Lisbon, Dubai. Mootaz did not grow up in one place: he grew up between several. That is where his eye took shape — in the passage from one city to another, from one language to another, from one code to another.
Photography came at 16, self-taught, with the means at hand. Proper equipment followed around 20, but the essential was already there: knowing how to look. Then three Dubai Fashion Weeks in a row, human-scale projects between Dubai, Paris and Lyon, and three years ago, his own communications agency.
An unconventional journey, built without a safety net, through creativity and strength of mind — including through turbulence that could have brought everything to a halt. FAMOUS was born from that: from the idea that a distinctive face deserves better than a mould.
